We have 3 types of Membership on Club Powerboat.ie

Registered Members: To Join Club Powerboat.ie, first register as a "Member" with a username and password. Membership is Completely Free of Charge. Registered Members can start posts and threads, access all forums, upload attachments, vote in polls and send Private Messages (PMs) to other members. Registered members are allowed one free Classified Photo Ad on www.powerboat.ie/classifieds at any one time.

Please note that classified type ads are banned from the general forums. This is to prevent spamming of the forums. Spammers will be dealt with decisively and robustly.

Flag Members: Registered Members who purchase a Club Pennant or an Ensign become Flag Members for life and are, in addition to the basic membership features, allowed to upload Post Icons / Avatars, Profile Pics and Signatures and may also launch polls. In addition, they receive a double size (100) PM Mailbox and are identified as Flag Members when they post. They are allowed two free Classified Photo Ads on www.powerboat.ie/classifieds at any one time.

To upgrade to Flag Member status now, Go to Paid Subscriptions in your User CP (Control Panel at the top left of this page) and make a secure payment using PAYPAL. Your membership will be instantly upgraded !


Advertising and Commercial Membership

Commercial Members:

Cost € 50 per anum. Registered Members who are involved in the Marine or Associated Trades really should subscribe to this if they want to post here.

Only Commercial Members may use their Company Name or initials as their user name. They may also use company contact details in their signature block, company logo as an avatar / logo on all posts, have a double size Mailbox (100) and may have unlimited free Classified Photo Ads on www.powerboat.ie/classifieds at any one time.

In addition they will receive a free hyperlink listing for their website or email address in our very popular Marine Links and Resources Page both in these Forums and on www.powerboat.ie . Our posting guidelines for Commercial members still apply !

With over 2,500 active Irish members n the forums and over 1.5 million hits per month and growing,1 year's Commercial Membership of Club Powerboat.ie for just €50 is not just great advertising value. It is direct and interactive Advertising with your Clients and Customers, the Irish Motorboating Community !

We also consider applications for Forum Sponsorship We do consider applications for Sponsorship of individual Forums within the site. The cost is €200 per year. This cost includes Commercial membership of the Forums (so the real cost of sponsoring the forum is just €150 per year.) Forum sponsorship acceptance is at my discretion. First refusal on sponsorship of any one particular forum each year will first be offered to the existing sponsor of that forum. For further details on advertising, email stuart @ powerboat.ie .


Banner Advertising Club Powerboat.ie has over 13,000 unique visitors, 273,000 page views and over 1.3 Million hits per month (September 09).

We are now officially the Irish Boating website with the highest monthly readership and traffic. Where better to advertise your Irish marine products and services.

Banner ads may be accepted for the front page of the forums at €300 per month. Annual rates available on application. Banner ads should be supplied in html code and in horizontal format.

Our Vision is to have an accessible, free, functional, effective and vibrant online Irish Boat Club supported on a voluntary basis by Commercial Members and Advertisers who consider that any money they contribute towards the Maintenance and Development of the Club is Good Value !
