Hi all,

I’m sorry to pass on to the list the sad news that Carmel Brohoon died on Monday morning last following a short illness.
Carmel, as many will remember was the IWAI Kildare Branch Treasurer for many years during the 1990’s and well into the following decade.

She was often fondly referred to as ‘The Real Chair Person’ and her good advice and sound business head kept at least three chairmen in check over those years. Carmel and Pat were well known on the river and their boat Greylag was a regular sight. She will be sadly missed by all the waterways community.

The funeral takes place after 10am Mass at St John the Evangelist Church, Balinteer on Thursday 01-Dec
